Sgt. Winter Lands in Fortnite Winterfest 2024

Mariah Carey's arrival has thawed the Fortnite landscape, kicking off the 2024 Winterfest event! To tackle the event's quests, you'll need to locate SGT. Winter and discuss his "Wintervestigation." Here's how to find him.

SGT. Winter's Location in Fortnite Chapter 6

The initial Wintervestigation quest directs you to SGT. Winter. These quests involve collaborating with Noir to uncover clues and discover new NPCs across the Chapter 6 map.

The quest marker will pinpoint SGT. Winter's location—a snowy mountain near a plane crash site, east of Warrior's Watch and south of Foxy Floodgate. It's close to Mariah Carey's in-game concert location.

Talking to SGT. Winter

SGT. Winter patrols near the plane wreckage. He's marked on your map and HUD with a speech bubble. Interact with him to access a menu offering a Holo Twister Assault Rifle, Blizzard Grenade, or dialogue options.

Select the magnifying glass icon to initiate the Wintervestigation conversation. He'll provide your next mission: find Noir in Seaport City. Completing the dialogue rewards 25,000 XP.

Surviving the Encounter

Reaching SGT. Winter can be tricky, as his location is a popular drop zone. Consider waiting a few days for the crowds to thin, or employ these strategies:

• Buy your way out: Purchase items from SGT. Winter using gold bars. The Holo Twister Rifle is a strong early-game weapon.
• Use the environment: The plane wreckage offers ample cover. Land early, secure nearby chests, and use the cover to eliminate opponents. Many players might only have pickaxes initially.

With a bit of strategy and teamwork (or luck!), you'll successfully complete this quest.
