Serial Cleaner: Clean Up Crime Scenes While Stoned

Serial Cleaner, the crime-scene cleanup puzzler, is making a comeback! Originally released in 2019, this title is returning to mobile platforms. Will it be a refined re-release or simply an updated port? Time will tell.

The game throws you into the gritty, yet cartoonish, 1970s. As Bob Leaner, your job is to discreetly remove bodies, blood, and other incriminating evidence after mob hits, all while dodging the police.

Our previous 2019 review described Serial Cleaner as having potential but being somewhat underdeveloped. Developer Plug-In Digital is now self-publishing the mobile version, suggesting a chance for improvement.

A Retro Revival?

Pre-registration is open, with a February 11th, 2025 release date. Whether this re-release will include significant enhancements remains uncertain. While a polished update would be ideal, given the time elapsed, substantial changes might be unrealistic.

The core concept remains captivating, but a simple mobile port feels somewhat underwhelming. However, for Android users who missed out, or iOS players experiencing compatibility issues, this could be a welcome surprise.
