Uncover the Lost Galaxy in Astro Bot: A Guide to Finding All 10 Hidden Portals

Astro Bot Rescue Mission offers a wealth of exploration beyond its main levels. Ten hidden portals lead to the challenging Lost Galaxy, accessible only by finding cleverly concealed entrances within the game's standard worlds. This guide details the location and method for accessing each portal. Look for the swirling icon on the level select screen – its presence indicates a hidden portal within that stage.

Hidden Portal #1: Az-Tech Trail

Mid-level, locate a dark chamber with four lit torches surrounding a wall. Utilize the Twin-Frog Gloves to extinguish all four flames. This action will reveal the portal.

Hidden Portal #2: Creamy Canyon

Early in the level, a snowy area features a bouncing ladybug enemy. Proceed past it to a charging pig. Grab the pig, swing it, and aim for the icy statue at the platform's edge. Releasing the pig will destroy the statue. Backtrack, leap over the ladybug, and bounce to the upper platform. Perform a charged spin attack to uncover the portal.

Hidden Portal #3: Go-Go Archipelago

After defeating Captain Pincher, locate his claw embedded in the ground. A glowing light indicates the location for a charged spin attack. This will unearth a hidden room containing the portal.

Hidden Portal #4: Downsize Surprise

Towards the level's end, find a bubble-blowing frog. Use the controller's blowing function to activate the bubbles. Shrink down and ride a bubble to a branch above a bot (you might need to switch bubbles). Navigate to the opposite branch to find the portal.

Hidden Portal #5: Free Big Brother!

This is arguably the easiest portal to find. At the level's start, turn around and locate platforms with an electric enemy. Lure it to electrocute the platforms, revealing the hidden portal.

Hidden Portal #6: Bathhouse Battle

Find the house with a flaming chimney. After absorbing water, reach the roof and extinguish the flames. Descend the chimney to discover the portal.

Hidden Portal #7: Hieiroglitch Pyramid

At the level's conclusion, turn right to an area with falling jewels. A bounce pad leads to a hidden area with a trap. Find two hidden switches to open the path to the portal.

Hidden Portal #8: Balloon Breeze

This is the most complex portal. Obtain the pufferfish power-up and backtrack to an area near the start with a distant platform and a ladybug enemy. Flip the ladybug towards the platform's edge. Bounce on it, activate the pufferfish, and use Astro's hover to reach the platform. Use motion controls to clear bamboo around the portal to activate it.

Hidden Portal #9: Djinny of the Lamp

After defeating Djinny, climb the ruins. Glowing ground indicates invisible platforms. Hover to each, then use the rug to reach the final platform containing the portal.

Hidden Portal #10: Frozen Meal

Before the boss fight, roll the snowball into a large ball. Use it as a platform to reach the cliff area and the final portal.
