Rust's Massive Update Introduces Enhanced Cooking and Farming Mechanics

Rust's highly anticipated Crafting Update has arrived, dramatically expanding the game's creative possibilities. A culinary workbench is the star of the show, allowing players to grill chicken legs and even pair them with Siberian vodka! Recipes are key to culinary success, with well-prepared meals offering valuable stat boosts and gameplay advantages.

Domesticating chickens has also received a significant upgrade. Players can now build coops to house chickens and chicks, each with individual needs for hunger, thirst, love, and sunlight. Neglecting these needs will lead to unhappy (and deceased) poultry. Freshly acquired chicken meat spoils over time, requiring refrigeration for preservation. Food items now also display clear expiration timers.

For a touch of sweetness, wild beehives now populate the trees. Harvesting honeycombs requires careful extraction and relocation to player-built hives crafted from wooden boxes. Beware! Bees are aggressive and require protective suits, water, or even flamethrowers to deter. A new, sticky weapon, the Bee Grenade, adds a thrilling element of chaotic bee warfare. Shattering the grenade unleashes three swarms of angry bees, forcing players into a hasty retreat.

The engineering workbench has undergone a complete overhaul, introducing separate tech trees for plumbing and electricity. This allows for the construction of complex automated systems and even entire factories. Finally, the developers have implemented premium servers, accessible only to players with a Rust inventory valued at a minimum of $15. This measure aims to create a more positive and cheat-free environment for dedicated players.
