Retro Revived: Evercade Expands with Atari and Technos Collections

Evercade's Super Pocket handheld line expands with Atari and Technos editions. These new handhelds will feature classic games from the respective platforms. A limited-edition wood-grain Atari Super Pocket (only 2600 units) will also be released.

Game preservation remains a contentious issue, but Evercade offers a legitimate alternative to expensive secondhand purchases or emulation. Following the successful Capcom and Taito releases, the Atari and Technos editions offer another avenue to enjoy retro gaming officially.

A Retro Revival

The Evercade Super Pocket's compatibility with existing Evercade cartridges provides a portable solution for retro gaming enthusiasts. While the limited-edition wood-grain Atari model might be viewed as a marketing tactic by some, the overall offering remains a positive contribution to the retro gaming scene. The limited run of 2600 units adds to the collector's appeal.
