Mastering Crew Recruitment in Citizen Sleeper 2

This guide details how to recruit every crew member in Citizen Sleeper 2. Remember, while recruitment is usually straightforward (accepting their offer to join), success in certain Contracts or events might influence your ability to recruit specific characters. Also note that you can lose crew members due to unlucky rolls or miss opportunities entirely. Please comment if you find alternative recruitment methods!

Initial Crew:

Serafin and Bliss are automatically added to your crew and are not tied to any achievements. Note that Serafin is generally unavailable for Contracts.

Recruiting Juni:

Juni is initially a temporary crew member encountered on Hexport. To recruit her permanently:

1. Complete the "Idle Minds" clock in the Solheim Records area.
2. A cutscene with Juni will trigger.
3. Complete the subsequent Contract and agree to let Juni rejoin your ship.

Recruiting Juni unlocks the "Data Archaeologist" achievement.

Recruiting Yu-Jin:

1. Complete the "Getting Wracked" clock at Gaia's Gyre (requires ordering a Wrack four times, costing 16 Cryo).
2. Speak to Yu-Jin on Far Spindle and accept his Contract.
3. Upon completing the Contract, you can permanently recruit Yu-Jin.

Recruiting Yu-Jin unlocks the "The Freelancer" achievement.

Recruiting Luis:

During the "Aphelion Beacon" Contract, choose to leave Yu-Jin behind to recruit Luis.

Recruiting Luis unlocks the "Signalchaser" achievement.

Recruiting Kadet:

1. Complete the "Spindle Core" clock at the Spindle Core location on Far Spindle. This unlocks a new drive and the Stripline Express location.
2. Complete the tasks at Stripline Express following the cutscene. Another cutscene will follow.
3. Travel to the Scatteryards (a different area in The Belt) to recruit Kadet.

Recruiting Kadet unlocks the "The Spindlejack" achievement.

Recruiting Femi or Nia:

You can recruit either Femi or Nia, but not both.

1. You'll meet Nia on Hexport and Femi on both Hexport and Floatsam.
2. Femi will offer a Contract to ensure Nia's safety.
3. Complete this Contract; at the end, choose between Femi and Nia.

Recruiting Femi unlocks the "Big Brother" achievement. Recruiting Nia unlocks the "Little Sister" achievement.

Recruiting Flint:

1. After your first visit to Olivera, you'll receive a Contract to investigate Flint's disappearance.
2. This leads to another Contract requiring you to quickly set a trap for an enemy.
3. Follow Xander to rescue Flint and succeed in the Contract to recruit him.

Recruiting Flint unlocks the "Fugitive" achievement.
