Nine years after its initial launch, Rainbow Six Siege is getting a massive overhaul—Rainbow Six Siege X. Announced on February 17, 2025, by Ubisoft, full details will be revealed in a dedicated showcase on March 13, 2025, at 10:00 am (PDT) / 1:00 pm (EDT) in Atlanta, Georgia. The event promises an immersive experience, bringing players, creators, and developers together to unveil the significant evolutions coming with Siege X, along with some exciting surprises.

In-person attendance requires a USD $10 ticket, which includes an exclusive long-sleeve shirt and an in-game cosmetic pack. Eligibility is restricted to legal residents of the USA and Canada, aged 18 or older, with a good standing Rainbow Six Siege account (no bans or sanctions).

Ubisoft is also offering two lucky fans a VIP experience, including hotel accommodation, roundtrip flights, and entry to the showcase. This giveaway is also limited to legal residents of the USA and Canada.

Siege X will introduce new gameplay mechanics, enhanced tactical depth, refined gameplay feel, and significant overall upgrades. Specific details will be shared during the March showcase.

Rainbow Six Siege's 10th Anniversary and Beyond

Initially released on December 1, 2015, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC (Rainbow Six Siege) later saw releases on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2020. Ubisoft's continuous updates have made it a long-running live-service shooter. Siege X promises to further extend the franchise's lifespan.

A February 17, 2025, Steam post announced a new operator, Aurora, with deployable bulletproof doors, a new elite skin for Aruni, and a new reputation system rewarding or penalizing player behavior. These additions will launch in Season 1 of Year 10, "Operation Prep Phase," on March 4, 2025, to celebrate the game's 10th anniversary.

Given the Season 10 launch date and the Siege X showcase timing, the major Siege X upgrades will likely be implemented on live servers at a later date.
