PUBG Mobile officially kicks off the Global Open with almost 100,000 participants

The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) kicks off with a massive Open Qualifier, featuring over 90,000 participants vying for a share of the $500,000 prize pool. This inaugural international PUBG Mobile esports event of the year began on February 13th, providing a platform for aspiring players to showcase their skills.

The Open Qualifiers, exclusively for amateur teams, guarantee fresh talent takes center stage. Teams boasting at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2. Upcoming weeks will see intense competition for a spot in the PMGO Prelims, where they'll face off against elite teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.

ytTwelve teams will ultimately emerge victorious from the Prelims, earning a coveted place in the PMGO Main Event alongside established professional teams. Four teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their Main Event spots based on their exceptional performance in the PMGC 2024. Four additional teams will qualify through regional competitions, including PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.

The Open Qualifiers conclude on March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This exciting tournament marks the beginning of a thrilling year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and PMGC also on the calendar for 2025.
