Ubisoft appears to be grappling with persistent leaks surrounding its unannounced game, Project U. The trouble began in 2022, shortly after the closed beta testing phase started, with gameplay leaks emerging. These leaks re-emerged two years later, indicating that the project is still in development. Recently, following what seems to be a reboot of the game's development, an introductory cinematic has surfaced online.

The source and authenticity of this cinematic remain unverified. It was shared by blogger Shaun Weber, known for leaking gaming content. Weber suggested that more videos from Project U could leak if the game continues to be developed for a prolonged period.

Project U is anticipated to be a session-based cooperative shooter, inspired by the success of Helldivers 2. According to the leaked footage, the game's narrative centers on an alien machine invasion of Earth, where players assume the roles of selected individuals fighting against this extraterrestrial menace.

As of now, Ubisoft has not officially announced when Project U will be unveiled to the public.
