This thrilling news comes directly from IO Interactive's official website, where they shared that the game will delve into a completely fresh narrative within the iconic Bond universe.

In Project 007, players will have the unique opportunity to step into the polished shoes of the world's most celebrated Secret Agent, embarking on the very first James Bond origin story. As stated by the developers, "Players will step into the shoes of the world's favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story."

Back in October, IO Interactive's Head, Hakan Abrak, shared insights with IGN about crafting an entirely new origin story for the legendary spy. He emphasized the excitement of creating an original tale rather than adapting a film into a game. "What's exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story. So it's not a gamification of a movie," Abrak explained.

He further elaborated on the vision for the game, stating, "It's completely beginning and becoming a story, hopefully for a big trilogy out there in the future. And equally important and exciting, it's a new Bond. It's a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers. It's extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with."
