January 2025 Gacha Game Revenue: Genshin Impact Leads the Pack

The gacha game market continues to generate significant revenue, with January 2025 figures revealing some interesting trends. Genshin Impact, boosted by a major update featuring the Pyro Archon and the highly anticipated Mawuika banner, saw a dramatic surge in revenue, more than doubling its December 2024 earnings to a staggering $99.4 million.

Trailing behind Genshin Impact, Pokemon TCG secured a strong second position with $64 million in revenue. Love and Deepspace, a popular "female gacha" title, rounded out the top three, generating $55.2 million.

A notable downturn was observed for Honkai Star Rail, whose January revenue dipped to $50.8 million. Zenless Zone Zero also experienced a significant drop, with earnings halved to $26.3 million compared to December's $57.9 million.

It's important to note that this ranking considers only mobile platform revenue. While some titles, like those from miHoYo, also have PC versions, these are excluded from the calculations. Furthermore, the data incorporates a multiplier for Android revenue in China, as Google Play is unavailable in that market, using iOS revenue as a basis for estimation.
