The highly anticipated Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has now arrived on Android, following its initial release on PC in January 2024. Developed by Ubisoft, this metroidvania action game casts you in the role of Sargon, a young warrior and member of the elite group known as the Immortals.
Your journey begins with a mission from Queen Thomyris to rescue her son, Prince Ghassan. This quest leads you to Mount Qaf, a once divine city now overrun with time-warped creatures and cursed landscapes. Despite being a single mountain, Mount Qaf is teeming with diverse environments, from a ruined temple to a forgotten desert. The expansive yet interconnected map even allows you to snap photos of your surroundings, enhancing your exploration experience.
One of the game's standout features is the ability to drop a shadow and teleport back to it at will, adding a layer of dynamic gameplay to both platforming and combat. Scattered throughout the map are amulets that allow you to customize Sargon’s abilities, tailoring your playstyle to your preference.
Sargon’s ultimate moves, known as Athra Surges, offer a thrilling way to conclude battles. Additionally, side quests enrich the lore of Mount Qaf and provide numerous collectibles and challenges to keep you engaged. For a sneak peek, check out the trailer below.
The mobile version of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown includes several exclusive features tailored for Android users. These include customizable touch controls, support for external controllers, and helpful options like auto-parry and an optional shield. The game boasts smooth gameplay, running at 60FPS on most newer devices, with a screen ratio that adjusts from 16:9 up to 20:9 for an optimized viewing experience.
You can try out Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown for free on Android. If you enjoy the game, you can unlock the full experience for $9 within the first three weeks of its release. After that, the full game will be available for $14. Don’t miss out—check it out on the Google Play Store now.
