Popular Mobile Game Developer Reveals New

HoYoVerse's parent company, MiHoYo, has been busy lately, and their upcoming game, originally titled Astaweave Haven, is undergoing a significant transformation. Even before a full reveal, the game's identity is changing, hinting at a possible shift in direction.

If you're a fan of gacha games or RPGs, you might have already heard whispers about Astaweave Haven. While official details remain scarce, this project appears to deviate from HoYoVerse's typical open-world gacha formula. Instead of another expansive gacha adventure, it looks like Astaweave Haven will be a life-sim or management game, potentially comparable to titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley.

This brings us to the exciting news: MiHoYo has rebranded Astaweave Haven as Petit Planet. The new name is undeniably charming and subtly suggests a management sim, setting it apart from MiHoYo's usual gacha RPGs.

Release Date Uncertainties

The game's development continues, with no official launch date announced. Astaweave Haven received approval in China for PC and mobile platforms in July. However, HoYoVerse recently (October 31st) registered the new name, Petit Planet, and now awaits approvals in the U.S. and U.K.

Given MiHoYo/HoYoVerse's track record of rapid releases (consider the quick succession of Zenless Zone Zero after Honkai: Star Rail), we can hope that once the name change is approved, a proper unveiling of Petit Planet will follow swiftly.
