Pokémon Z-A: Release Date Revealed

Pokémon Legends: Z-A – August 2025 Release Date Leak

Rumors suggest Pokémon Legends: Z-A may launch on August 15th, 2025, following a brief listing on Amazon UK in early January 2025. This aligns with The Pokémon Company's previously stated 2025 release window.

The game, announced during the 2024 Pokémon Day celebrations, is a sequel to the exploration-focused Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Unlike previous entries, it prioritizes open-ended gameplay and collecting over traditional gym battles and the Pokémon League. Since its initial announcement, official details have been scarce.

The Amazon UK listing, quickly retracted, fueled speculation about the August release. This leak, spotted by content creator Light88, initially showed August 15th as the release date before reverting to a placeholder date.

February 2025 Confirmation Possible

The official release date might be revealed during the 2025 Pokémon Day event, scheduled for February 27th (based on datamining of the Pokémon GO build). This event could also unveil gameplay footage, currently absent from promotional materials.

Beyond the release date, fans anticipate a gameplay reveal. Pokémon Legends: Z-A, initially confirmed as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, will also be playable on the upcoming Switch 2, thanks to backward compatibility. While past Pokémon titles have featured paid DLC, Pokémon Legends: Arceus only received one free post-launch update, "Daybreak."
