Following the December 2024 announcement of the February 2025 Unova Tour, Niantic has revealed the exciting addition of Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, and Shiny Meloetta. From February 21st to 23rd, 2025, attendees of the in-person events in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, USA, will have the unique opportunity to capture and fuse Kyurem into its alternative forms.

To obtain base Kyurem, players must conquer Black or White Kyurem in challenging five-star raids.

Once you've captured Kyurem, the fusion process begins! Choose your path: fuse with Zekrom to create Black Kyurem, or Reshiram for White Kyurem. Each fusion unlocks powerful new attacks: Freeze Shock (Black) and Ice Burn (White).

Here's the breakdown of fusion requirements:

  • Black Kyurem: 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy
  • White Kyurem: 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy

Fusion Energies are earned by defeating Black or White Kyurem in raids. Reversion to the base Kyurem form is free of charge. Plus, enjoy increased Shiny rates for Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom during the event!
