Pokemon TCG Pocket Unveils Shining Revelry, Hints at Ranked Matches

The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, aptly named Shining Revelry, has introduced dazzling new shiny variants and over 110 new cards, significantly enhancing the game's appeal. These additions, including cards from the Paldea region, have certainly made me wish I had more Hourglasses to spend on a 10-pack pull. Upon the update's release, I couldn't resist using a chunk of my hard-earned Pack Hourglasses to open ten packs. My luck paid off somewhat as I managed to pull a Charizard EX, although the rest of the haul was less exciting. However, finding a Pokémon Center Lady card in the mix was comforting, as her ability to heal Special Conditions is a valuable asset when dealing with pesky statuses like Burn.

As with previous expansion packs, Shining Revelry introduces an Emblem event, allowing players to earn new badges to show off to friends. Additionally, the update brings the much-anticipated Ranked Matches, where you'll compete against other Trainers to climb from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Your progress will be tracked with points, and at the end of the approximately one-month season, you'll receive an emblem. This feature has motivated me to dust off my dueling skills and start seriously building my decks.
