Pokemon TCG Pocket Sleep Status Explained

Author:Kristen Update:Feb 28,2025

In Pokémon TCG Pocket, Sleep is a significant hindrance. While easily cured, its impact can be game-altering. This guide details Sleep's effects and cures.

Understanding Sleep in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Sleep renders a Pokémon unable to attack, use abilities, or retreat. A sleeping active Pokémon is vulnerable.

Curing Sleep

Two primary methods exist:

  1. Coin Toss: Each turn, a coin toss determines if the Pokémon wakes. This can be instantaneous or prolonged.

  2. Evolution: Evolving a sleeping Pokémon cures the status.

A less common method involves the Koga Trainer card, which returns a sleeping Weezing or Muk to your hand.
