Pokémon TCG Pocket Unveils Cards at Wonder Pick

Author:Kristen Update:Dec 05,2025
  • A new promotional campaign is now running for Pokémon TCG Pocket's Wonder Pick feature
  • During the Sneak Peek campaign, you occasionally get to preview the next card you'll select
  • This is a great opportunity to add new cards to your collection with much greater ease

Since its debut, Pokémon TCG Pocket has experienced both successes and challenges. Issues like the underwhelming trading system and minor mistakes in artwork credit come to mind. However, these are far outweighed by the overwhelmingly positive reception for this new take on the beloved Pokémon series—especially the Wonder Pick function, which allows you to acquire cards from other players’ previously opened booster packs!

Naturally, the mystery of what you’ll receive through Wonder Pick is part of the fun. But now, until August 11th, a special campaign is active that will periodically let you preview the next card you’ll obtain.

Since the card is usually a surprise, this sneak peek is a big advantage if you're hunting for a particular favorite. While it won't happen with every single pick, it occurs frequently enough that many players will find it hard to resist diving back in for more.

With the recent launch of the latest expansion, Wisdom of Sea and Sky, there's no shortage of exciting cards to hunt for. And despite the earlier mention of an artwork credit error, this expansion introduces many fantastic additions from the Johto region—including the legendary Pokémon Lugia and Ho-Oh.

Coinciding with the Sneak Peek event are improvements to the Wishlist feature, making it simpler to display the cards you're seeking for trades, both on your friends list and your personal profile. This reflects the development team’s commitment to responding to player requests for easier card swapping and collecting.

So there’s no better moment to dive in. Once you’ve finished exploring Wonder Pick, you might want to take a short break from TCG Pocket. If you’re still craving some card game action, check out our picks for the best card battle games on iOS.
