Pokémon TCG Pocket launches its hotly-anticipated trading feature and Space-Time Smackdown

Pokémon TCG Pocket’s highly anticipated trading feature has finally arrived, launching alongside the exciting new Space-Time Smackdown expansion! This is great news for dedicated fans as January draws to a close.

Trading works much like real-life trading, allowing you to exchange cards with friends. However, there are some limitations. Only certain rarities (1-4 and 1-star cards) are currently tradeable, and trading requires resources like trade hourglasses and tokens. Despite these restrictions, it’s a significant addition to the game.

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion brings a wealth of new content, including the legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia. Sinnoh region starters Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup also make their debut, along with many other exciting additions!

Ice-type

While the trading feature is a welcome addition, initial player reception has been somewhat mixed. The numerous restrictions and resource requirements have been a point of contention for many players. A completely free trading system, or the absence of trading altogether, might have been a better approach initially. However, developers are reportedly monitoring player feedback and may implement changes in the future.
