Get ready to ring in 2025 with Pokémon GO's annual New Year's event, running from December 30th to January 1st! This year's festivities include special bonuses, unique Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to celebrate the new year in style. Following the Community Day event (December 21st-22nd), this event is the perfect way to continue the holiday spirit.

This year's event offers a fantastic bonus: earn a whopping 2,025 XP for each Pokémon caught with an Excellent Throw! Enjoy the festive atmosphere with New Year's decorations and celebratory fireworks illuminating the skies.

Expect increased appearances of festive Pokémon! Keep an eye out for Jigglypuff with a ribbon, Hoothoot in a New Year's outfit, and Wurmple sporting a party hat. Shiny versions of these Pokémon will also be more readily available.

Raids get a festive makeover too! One-star raids feature a snowflake-hat-wearing Pikachu, while three-star raids bring party-hat-adorned Raticate and Wobbuffet. All three have boosted Shiny rates during the event.
