A few thousand players will be able to test new Battlefield features

EA unveils Battlefield Labs, a closed beta testing program for upcoming Battlefield titles. This internal testing initiative offers select players a sneak peek at core gameplay mechanics and concepts still under development. Note that not all tested features will necessarily appear in the final game release.

Participants will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before accessing the pre-alpha content. Initially, Conquest and Breakthrough modes will be available for testing. Early phases will prioritize combat and destruction system evaluation, followed by rigorous balance testing.

Pre-registration is open for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A limited number of players (a few thousand) will receive invitations in the coming weeks, with plans for broader regional expansion later.

The developers have confirmed the game is in a crucial development phase. While no official release date has been announced, development is being spearheaded by a collaborative effort between four studios: DICE, Motive, Criterion Games, and Ripple Effect.
