PlatinumGames is commemorating the 15th anniversary of the iconic Bayonetta with a year-long celebration, expressing gratitude to fans for their enduring support. The original game, released in 2009 (Japan) and 2010 (globally), captivated players with its innovative design and exhilarating gameplay, sparking a successful franchise primarily on Nintendo platforms.

The original Bayonetta, helmed by Hideki Kamiya (renowned for Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe), introduced the stylish action heroine Bayonetta, a powerful Umbra Witch wielding guns, incredible martial arts, and magically-enhanced hair to combat supernatural foes. Its creative premise and fast-paced combat, reminiscent of Devil May Cry, earned critical acclaim, solidifying Bayonetta's status as a memorable video game anti-heroine. PlatinumGames is also providing monthly Bayonetta-themed smartphone calendar wallpapers, with January's featuring Bayonetta and Jeanne in kimonos under a full moon.
