People Can Fly, renowned for developing Bulletstorm and co-developing Gears of War: E-Day, has recently inked a deal with Sony Interactive Entertainment to work on a new game, codenamed Project Delta. According to a report from People Can Fly, Project Delta is set to be a work-for-hire project, though details beyond this remain undisclosed.

The studio is currently juggling an impressive lineup of projects, each with their own intriguing codenames. Among these are Project Gemini, developed in collaboration with Square Enix, which unfortunately saw 30 developers laid off last year. Additionally, there's Project Echo, being crafted with Krafton, and Project Red, which also seems to be connected with Sony. Just yesterday, People Can Fly announced that Project Bison would be their last venture into VR gaming.

Recent months have brought significant changes to their project portfolio. Last December, the studio decided to suspend work on Project Victoria and scale down efforts on Project Bifrost. Earlier, in April, they cancelled Project Dagger, an action-adventure game planned in partnership with Take-Two Interactive.

Despite these adjustments, People Can Fly remains committed to an ambitious slate, with eight known projects currently in development. This includes the highly anticipated Gears of War: E-Day, developed in partnership with The Coalition, though a release date for this title has yet to be announced. Meanwhile, Project Gemini, their collaboration with Square Enix, is slated for a 2026 release.
