Getting Started as an Archer in Rune Slayer

If you're new to the Archer class, pay close attention; veterans can skip ahead. As an Archer, your strategy is to maintain a safe distance from enemies and let your arrows do the talking. While Archers can deal significant damage, they're not built to take hits well.

Archers wear Medium armor, which offers a balance between protection and mobility. Unlike Light armor users like Magicians or Priests, Archers don't have protective spells or the resilience of Heavy armor. Instead, they rely on others to absorb damage, especially their Pets.

Tamed Pets are crucial for Archers. Initially, your pet options might be limited, but as an Archer, you'll gain access to unique pets that other classes can't, making you one of the most formidable classes in the game.

How to Get Beast Tamer in Rune Slayer

At Level 30, all classes in Rune Slayer choose a subclass. For Archers, the choice is between Sharpshooter and Beast Tamer. Opt for Beast Tamer without hesitation when you reach this level.

Choosing Sharpshooter might sound appealing, but it lacks the key advantage of Beast Tamer: the Alpha Predator passive ability. This ability allows you to tame exclusive beasts like Bears, Adult Spiders, Crocodiles, and the highly valuable Mud Crabs. Beast Tamers' enhanced pets make them incredibly resilient and powerful, capable of soloing many group activities.
