Nintendo Switch 2: Upcoming Game Rumored for 2024 Release

Rumor: Metaphor: ReFantazio Could Launch Alongside Nintendo Switch 2

Recent rumors suggest that the critically acclaimed 2024 RPG, Metaphor: ReFantazio, may be heading to the Nintendo Switch 2 during its launch window. While Nintendo hasn't officially unveiled the Switch 2, numerous leaks point to a powerful successor to the original console, potentially launching in May or June.

Multiple sources, including prominent leaker PH Brazil, claim Metaphor: ReFantazio is in development for the Switch 2. While not necessarily a launch title, the game is expected to release within the console's launch window, typically defined as the period from release until the end of the year. Given Metaphor: ReFantazio's success (including nominations and wins at The Game Awards 2024 for Best Narrative and Best Art Direction, and a Game of the Year nomination), and the strong relationship between Nintendo and Sega (the game's publisher), a Switch 2 port seems plausible.
