Ninja Gaiden 4 announced, Ninja Gaiden 2 remaster released

DOOM: The Dark Ages may have stolen the spotlight at the Developer_Direct, but another major announcement emerged from the shadows: Ninja Gaiden 4. This highly anticipated sequel to Koei Tecmo's acclaimed series is slated for a Fall 2025 release.

The debut trailer showcased the signature action-packed slasher gameplay, featuring the return of the legendary ninja Ryu Hayabusa. Ninja Gaiden 4 introduces exciting new mechanics, including dynamic traversal using wires and rails, as seen in the gameplay footage.

The game's setting is a visually striking cyberpunk city perpetually shrouded in toxic rain. Players will battle hordes of genetically modified soldiers and terrifying otherworldly creatures, all while striving to lift an ancient curse plaguing the megacity.

Adding to the excitement, a massive remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2 has already launched on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, and is available via Game Pass. Team Ninja's UE5 port boasts completely overhauled character models, visual effects, and environments. Furthermore, the remaster incorporates elements from later series entries, including the addition of three new playable characters.

Koei Tecmo's dedication to this project is evident, and the community's enthusiastic response is well-deserved.
