Netflix Cancels Electric State Prequel Game: Kid Cosmo

Netflix is set to enhance its gaming portfolio with a new movie tie-in game, The Electric State: Kid Cosmo, launching on March 18th, just days after the premiere of the sci-fi adventure film, The Electric State, on March 14th. Directed by the acclaimed Russo brothers, the film features stars like Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, taking viewers on a post-apocalyptic road trip across an alternate '90s America filled with massive robots.

It’s Not Going to be a Simple Adaptation of the Movie

The Electric State: Kid Cosmo isn't just another movie game adaptation; it's a prequel that delves into the childhood of two pivotal characters, Chris and Michelle. Developed by BUCK Games in collaboration with AGBO, this game promises a rich narrative experience. BUCK Games, known for their successful roguelite puzzle game Let’s! Revolution! on Steam, brings their expertise to this new venture.

Set in Wichita, Kansas, in 1985, Kid Cosmo offers a series of puzzle adventures reminiscent of the WarioWare series but with an '80s twist. Over the course of five years, players will follow Chris and Michelle's journey, collecting modules, repairing Kid Cosmo's ship, and solving puzzles that reveal the secrets of their strange world.
