Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage Announces EOS

Bandai Namco's popular fortress strategy RPG, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage, is officially shutting down on December 9th, 2024, ending a nearly seven-year run. This news, while unfortunate for dedicated players, isn't entirely unexpected, mirroring the fate of other Naruto gacha games like Naruto Blazing.

The Final Countdown:

Launched in 2017, the game will continue operation until its December 9th closure. Players can still enjoy several upcoming events: the Village Leader World Championship (October 8th-18th), an All-Out Mission (October 18th-November 1st), and a final "Thanks For Everything" campaign (November 1st-December 1st). Summoning events, Ninja Card collection, and in-game item usage remain available until the shutdown. Players are advised to spend any remaining Gold Coins before the game ends.

What Led to the Shutdown?

While initially praised for its balanced gameplay – featuring village building, trap setting, and character-based defense – Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage faced a decline. The introduction of Minato Namikaze triggered a noticeable power creep, alienating many players. This, coupled with increasingly overt pay-to-win mechanics, reduced free-to-play rewards, and the near-disappearance of multiplayer features, ultimately led to the game's demise. The game is still available on the Google Play Store for those wishing to experience it before its closure.
