Get ready to start your engines and crew your vehicles—Wizards of the Coast is drawing inspiration from the high-octane world of professional racing for the latest Magic: The Gathering expansion, Aetherdrift. With its visually striking aesthetics reminiscent of Tron, Aetherdrift brings a fleet of artifact vehicles to the table along with two exciting new mechanics: "Speed" and "Exhaust." This expansion takes you on a thrilling multiversal "Death Race" that spans across Avishkar, Amonkhet, and Muraganda, weaving together existing Magic planes in a narrative that's sure to captivate fans.
As with any trading card game, your local game shop is your go-to destination for booster packs and exclusive event offerings, such as Prerelease Sets. If you're new to Magic, these stores are also excellent places to ask questions, learn about expansions, and dive into various game modes.
For those looking to buy in bulk, major retailers have you covered. Aetherdrift is set to launch on February 14, and here’s a comprehensive list of everything you can preorder:

You have two options for bulk-buying Aetherdrift boosters: the Play Booster Box, which contains 30 Play Booster Packs, and the pricier Collector Booster Box with 12 Collector Booster Packs. Both types of Booster Boxes come with foil "Box Topper" cards.

If you're looking to quickly amass cards for a new or upgraded deck, Play Boosters are your best bet. However, it's worth noting that previous Play Booster Boxes, such as those for the recent Duskmourn expansion, contained 36 Play Boosters instead of just 30. If you're interested in alternate art and Mythic foils, the Collector Box might be worth the extra investment.
The Aetherdrift expansion introduces two Commander Decks, both available for preorder. These decks are pre-constructed and ready to play in the popular Commander game mode, which supports more than two players. Commander Decks are a cost-effective way to get 100 cards you can start playing with immediately, making them ideal for Magic beginners. Each deck comes with a guaranteed foil commander and a set of cards designed to work well together, plus a Collector Booster Sample Pack for added excitement.
1 ready-to-play Living Energy Aetherdrift MTG Commander Deck (100 cards), a 2-card Collector Booster Sample Pack, 10 double-sided tokens, and 1 deck box

The first Aetherdrift Commander is Saheeli, Radiant Creator, a Human Artificer leading an Energy-oriented Red/Green/Blue deck called "Living Energy." The second Commander is Temmet, Naktamun’s Will, heading up a Zombie-oriented Black/Blue/White deck called "Eternal Might." Both decks are available for preorder at around $50 each, with a bundle including two copies of each deck also available for $180. Unlike Booster Packs, you can view the full Commander Decklists to know exactly what you're getting.
Bundles are another type of MTG product that typically include a mix of booster packs, land cards, and fun accessories. The flagship bundle for Aetherdrift, themed around the expansion’s racing motif, is called the "Finish Line" bundle, priced at $80.
