Author:Kristen Update:May 02,2025

Capcom recently unveiled an exciting Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase, revealing a wealth of new content and updates for the latest addition to the iconic Monster Hunter series. Title Update 1, set to launch on April 4, 2025, promises a free update packed with new features for all players, alongside a variety of free and paid DLC options. This update will introduce a new hub for hunters to socialize, fresh armor and cosmetic options, and the introduction of formidable new monsters.

We now have a clear roadmap for the upcoming updates in Monster Hunter Wilds. What aspect of Title Update 1 excites you the most? Share your thoughts below!

PlayA New Hub For Hunters ---------------------

The showcase kicked off with an introduction to the new endgame hub, dubbed the Grand Hub, designed to enhance the social experience for hunting parties. Within this hub, hunters can enjoy a variety of activities such as feasting together, arm wrestling, and listening to the Diva's nighttime performances. There's also a fun Barrel Bowling mini-game where players can earn vouchers and rewards through participation. The Grand Hub becomes accessible once you reach Hunter Rank 16 by speaking to Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord.

Mizutsune Arrives

A highlight of Title Update 1 is the introduction of the bubbly monster, Mizutsune. Known for its swift tail strikes and water jets, Mizutsune presents a challenging yet thrilling hunt. To take on this creature, reach Hunter Rank 21 or above and head to the Scarlet Forest to speak with Kanya for the quest. Defeating Mizutsune also offers the chance to craft new gear from your spoils.

Additional Hunts on the Way

The update will also feature a new Event Quest, introducing the formidable Arch-tempered Rey Dau. This fight is a step above typical Tempered encounters, requiring you to be at least Hunter Rank 50 to participate. Conquer this challenge to earn new armor. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to refight Zoh Shia through new quests after reaching HR 50, with new armor crafting options available upon victory.

Arena Quests

Speedrun enthusiasts will find their niche with the introduction of Arena Quests. These quests offer a platform for hunters to compete for the fastest clear times. Both Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests will be available, with participation and achievement rewarded with pendants. Access these quests at the counter within the new Grand Hub.

Change Alma's Outfit

Alma, the diligent handler, will now have the option to change her outfit through an appearance menu at camp. One new outfit will be available for free, and completing a specific side mission allows you to switch out Alma's glasses, adding a personal touch to your gameplay experience.

More DLC is on the way

In conjunction with Title Update 1, a mix of free and paid DLC will be released. Free additions include classic gestures from previous Monster Hunter games, available in the store. Paid options, such as the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1, are accessible through the store or included with the Cosmetic DLC Pass or Premium Deluxe Edition. Look forward to new stickers, outfits for Alma, and more.

More Event Quests and Seasonal Events

Further enriching the game, more Event Quests and Seasonal Events are scheduled. During these events, the Grand Hub will transform, and special meals will be available. These events offer limited-time equipment, gestures, and decorations. The first Seasonal Event, the Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, starts on April 23, bringing in pink cherry blossoms and new decor. Capcom has confirmed the return of most previously available events and Event Quests in future updates.

The Roadmap Ahead

Here's a glimpse of the rollout plan for Title Update 1 and its associated content. U.S. players will receive the update on April 3, followed by the Blossomdance event on April 22. The challenging Arch-tempered Rey Dau arrives on April 29, and additional features, including a Capcom collaboration, are set to debut by the end of May.

Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2

The showcase concluded with a teaser for Title Update 2, expected to launch this summer. While no specific date has been announced, a brief image hinted at the possible return of the iconic underwater leviathan, Lagiacrus, who seems ready to wreak havoc on the surface.
