This second Open Beta Test offers another opportunity to experience the game before its official February 28th launch. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the news via the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.

The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time, hunters can face off against the Gypceros, a familiar foe from previous Monster Hunter titles.

Character data from the first beta carries over, and can be transferred to the full game. However, game progress will not be saved. Participating players receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm, and a special bonus item pack for a smoother start to the main game.

Tsujimoto explained the second beta's purpose: to give players who missed the first chance to play, and to provide another round of testing. While recent community updates detailed upcoming improvements, these will not be included in this beta phase.

Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28th, 2025. Get ready to hunt!
