Monster Hunter Now Is Testing Out a New Monster Outbreaks Feature

In the ever-evolving world of Monster Hunter Now, Niantic is rolling out an exciting new feature test called Monster Outbreaks. This event is designed to gather player feedback and fine-tune the feature before its official launch. So, what exactly is happening, and when can you join in on the action?

When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?

Mark your calendars! The Monster Outbreaks testing phase is scheduled for April 26th and 27th. You'll have two opportunities each day to dive into the event. The sessions will run from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., local time, on both Saturday and Sunday.

During these times, specific locations on the map, known as outbreak points, will suddenly be swarming with 8-star Black Diablos. The challenge? Team up with other players to take down a total of 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak spot within the one-hour window. Remember, this count is specific to each location, not a global total.

To participate, you must be at least HR 11. Also, note that you can't use the party feature; only in-person group hunts will be counted. Outbreak points will be clearly marked on the map with a special icon. Just tap on it to view the details and sign up on the roster to coordinate with other hunters.

Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!

The way the slay count works adds an intriguing twist to the event. If you and three other hunters take down one Black Diablos, that counts as four toward the goal of 100. And if you reach the 100 mark before the time runs out, you can keep hunting Black Diablos for the rest of the hour.

Successfully reaching the 100-monster goal comes with some sweet rewards: 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Plus, if you use the sign-up roster, you're eligible for the special Outbreak Test I Medal.

Interested in joining the Monster Outbreaks testing? You can download Monster Hunter Now from the Google Play Store and participate over the weekend.
