Final Fantasy XIV is officially coming to mobile devices, bringing years of content to players on the go. Developed by Tencent's Lightspeed Studios in collaboration with Square Enix, this mobile version lets you explore Eorzea from the palm of your hand.

The announcement ends months of speculation surrounding a mobile port of the critically acclaimed MMORPG. Originally released in 2012 to mixed reviews, Final Fantasy XIV’s subsequent transformation, “A Realm Reborn,” revitalized the game and cemented its place as a flagship title for Square Enix.

The mobile version promises a substantial amount of content at launch. Players will have access to nine jobs, easily switched via the Armoury system, and classic minigames like Triple Triad will also be available.

This mobile release marks a significant milestone for Final Fantasy XIV, given its tumultuous history and remarkable resurgence. The partnership with Tencent signifies a strong collaboration between the two companies.

While the initial mobile release may not include all the game's expansive content, the plan appears to be a phased rollout of expansions and updates over time. This approach prioritizes a smooth launch experience rather than attempting to include everything immediately.
