The ESRB rating for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has confirmed the return of the Peep Demo Theater. Discover what this feature offers and the updates made to the game's camouflage system.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater recently obtained its ESRB rating, suggesting a faithful recreation of the original title, including the return of a notable mature feature. The game received an M for Mature rating from the ESRB, and the rating summary explicitly mentions the inclusion of the Peep Demo Theater.
The Peep Demo Theater is a bonus found in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater's Subsistence and HD Collection editions. It displays all cutscenes featuring the female spy EVA in her underwear. In this mode, players can freely adjust the camera perspective and zoom in on any part of her body. To unlock it, players are required to collect every other cutscene in the Demo Theater, which typically necessitates completing the game four times.
An M rating is not unexpected for a game where players "take on the role of an elite soldier attempting to thwart special forces behind enemy lines," implying consistent themes of violence and gore. Nevertheless, the reappearance of the so-called "Creepy mode" is a surprise to many, as few anticipated the comeback of such explicit and sexually suggestive content given its controversial history.
Separately, a positive enhancement in MGS Delta is the accelerated camouflage switching mechanic. A March 28 post by METAL GEAR OFFICIAL on Twitter (X) showcased a video detailing smoother camouflage changes. According to the post, "Switch camouflage for faces, uniforms, and more on the go with this new feature in METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER."
The video indicates players can swap their camouflage in under three seconds, a notable improvement over the more cumbersome method in the original. In MGS3, altering camouflage was a laborious process—players had to pause, navigate the menu, open the Camo section, and select their choice. This often disrupted the game's flow, especially in stealth sequences, reducing immersion.
With MGS Delta's launch date approaching, fans are looking forward to a remake that retains beloved features while introducing quality-of-life adjustments for a smoother experience. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is scheduled to launch on August 26, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
