The Meta Quest 3 is the best consumer-focused standalone VR headset and represents a major upgrade over its more affordable sibling, the Quest 3S. Both models share the same Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor, Touch Plus controllers with inside-out tracking, and mixed reality passthrough capabilities. However, the Quest 3 features a higher-resolution display with a wider field of view and a much larger focused sweet spot, thanks to its superior pancake lens design. It also offers significantly more onboard storage. For VR enthusiasts who will benefit from the enhanced visuals, I strongly recommend the Quest 3 over the 3S.
