Marvel Rivals: Unlocking and Utilizing Gold and Silver Frost

NetEase Games' Marvel Rivals celebrates winter with its first seasonal event: Winter Celebration! Players can earn exciting new rewards, including a spray, nameplate, MVP animation, emotes, and a brand-new skin for Jeff the Land Shark. Unlocking these goodies requires two new in-game currencies: Gold Frost and Silver Frost. This guide explains how to earn and use them.

Earning Gold Frost

Gold Frost is primarily used to upgrade Jeff the Land Shark's winter-themed card. Here are some ways to obtain it (more tasks unlock as the event progresses):

Remember to regularly play Arcade mode (Jeff's Winter Splash Festival) to unlock new Gold Frost earning opportunities.

Earning Silver Frost

Silver Frost customizes Jeff's winter card decorations. While not essential for the Cuddly Fuzzlefin skin, it enhances the card's appearance. Similar to Gold Frost, more Silver Frost tasks become available throughout the event. Here are the current tasks:

Using Gold and Silver Frost

Access the "Winter Celebration" banner (top-left of the main screen), then select "Decorate." Gold Frost upgrades Jeff's card, while Silver Frost (used after Gold Frost upgrades) customizes its decorations (2 Silver Frost per customization). Customizable items include the Tree, Gift Box, Snowman, Ribbon, and Festival Stage. Completing card decorations unlocks exclusive rewards such as the Cuddly Fuzzlefin Spray, emotes, nameplate, MVP animation, and costume, found in the "Celebration Rewards" section.
