Marvel Rivals Season 1: Dracula, Fantastic Four, and Balance Changes Unveiled

NetEase Games has dropped a developer update brimming with details on Season 1 of Marvel Rivals, titled "Eternal Night Falls," launching January 10th at 1 AM PST. This season introduces a host of exciting changes, including a new villain, roster additions, map expansions, a fresh game mode, and significant balance adjustments.

Season 1 Highlights:

• Dracula Takes Center Stage: The infamous Dracula will serve as the main antagonist for Season 1.
• Fantastic Four Arrival: The iconic Fantastic Four join the playable roster. Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman debut at launch, with Human Torch and The Thing following in six to seven weeks.
• New Maps and Game Mode: Three new maps and a new game mode, "Doom Match," will enhance gameplay variety.
• Battle Pass Bounty: A 10-skin battle pass, costing 990 Lattice (approximately $10), rewards players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion.
• Balancing Act: Significant balance adjustments are in store.

Balance Changes:

Hela and Hawkeye, deemed overpowered in Season 0, will receive nerfs. Conversely, mobility-focused Vanguards like Captain America and Venom will receive buffs to improve their performance. Wolverine and Storm also get buffs to encourage strategic utilization, along with Cloak and Dagger to promote team composition diversity. Adjustments to Jeff the Land Shark are planned to better align his early warning indicators with his ultimate's hitbox. While his ultimate's power has been a point of discussion, no major changes have been announced for it.

The developer update remained silent on the future of the Seasonal Bonus feature, a point of contention among players. Season 1 promises a substantial content update, generating considerable excitement among the Marvel Rivals community.
