The highly anticipated official trailer for the live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch has finally been released, offering fans a comprehensive look at the new cast. Maia Kealoha steps into the iconic role of Lilo, originally portrayed by Daveigh Chase in the beloved 2002 animated film. In this trailer, Kealoha showcases her interpretation of the character, bringing Lilo to life in a fresh yet respectful manner.

While previous teasers have focused heavily on Stitch, this trailer shifts the spotlight to Lilo. Additionally, we get a closer look at Courtney B. Vance as the serious yet endearing Cobra Bubbles, and Billy Magnussen as the quirky Pleakley. An intriguing twist in the trailer suggests that Jumba, played by Zach Galifianakis, and Pleakley might initially appear in human disguises on Earth, deviating from their traditional alien attire. However, fans can catch a brief glimpse of Pleakley in his original alien form.

The trailer also recreates several iconic scenes from the original movie, including Stitch's dramatic entrance as a falling star, his transformation to appear more like a dog at the shelter, and the heartfelt moment when Lilo utters the famous line, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."

Lilo & Stitch is set to premiere in theaters on May 23, 2025, marking another live-action adaptation of a cherished Disney classic. This release follows closely on the heels of the live-action Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, which will hit theaters on March 21, 2025.
