LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship, New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth

Author:Kristen Update:May 05,2025

LEGO has unveiled an exciting lineup of nine new Star Wars sets, all set to launch on May 1, 2025, in celebration of Star Wars Day. This release is part of Disney's extensive May the 4th celebrations, which traditionally feature a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship from LEGO. In previous years, fans were treated to Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year, LEGO introduces Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, commonly known among Star Wars enthusiasts as Slave I, though officially renamed in 2021 at Disney's behest to avoid the controversial connotations of the word "slave."

Comprising 2,970 pieces, this set is nearly three times larger than its predecessor, which had 1,007 pieces. The new model, reflecting the ship's appearance in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, measures an impressive 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
