Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 offers a wealth of optional side quests, and "The Axe From the Lake" is definitely one worth pursuing. This guide will walk you through completing this rewarding quest.

Initiating the Quest:

To begin, visit the Tachov tavern and speak with Zdenyek the Mouth. Ask him for some informative gossip; he'll reveal details about a legendary axe hidden in the lake, setting the quest in motion.

Locating the Axe:

Before embarking, equip a spade. These can be found in graveyards or purchased from general traders. Your objective marker covers a wide area; begin at the pier. Follow the path north, past an undamaged tree (Henry will comment on it), and then to a large rock (another comment from Henry).

Continue along the path until you reach a gravesite near a tree. Dig it up to unearth a gemstone silver ring, five marigolds, and—crucially—a broken axe.

Repairing the Axe:

Take the broken axe to blacksmith Radovan in Tachov. He'll repair it for you, but you'll need a fastening material and 699.5 groschen. Radovan should sell both. The repaired axe, now the "Adorned Axe," completes the quest. Speak to Zdenyek again to finish. You can then keep and use the Adorned Axe.

Completion and Rewards:
