The Iconic 'Time Machine' from Back to the Future Is Now Up for Grabs in CSR2

Zynga's Custom Street Racer 2 (CSR2) celebrates Back to the Future's 40th anniversary with a time-traveling update!

CSR2 Goes Back to the Future

Starting today, players can get behind the wheel of the iconic DeLorean time machine from the original Back to the Future film. While it lacks performance boosts or special abilities, it's a fully functional and drivable vehicle within the game. This isn't just about the car; CSR2 is offering a complete Back to the Future themed experience.

The crossover includes a film-inspired in-game interface, a new storyline, and multiple events. Three flash events focusing on the DeLorean are planned, alongside a community competition. Zynga has confirmed additional themed events throughout the year, making this more than a one-off update. Currently, CSR2 is running social media quizzes with prizes; check their channels for details.

No 1955 Trip, But a Great Collab!

While the game doesn't offer time travel to 1955 (or 1999, for that matter!), the CSR2 x Back to the Future collaboration is unique. The chance to drive the legendary DeLorean is exciting in itself.

Zynga's VP of Games, Sam Cooper, called the DeLorean one of history's most recognizable and beloved movie cars, emphasizing the thrill of letting players virtually race it to mark the film's anniversary.
