Hungry Hangry Morpeko invades Pokémon GO for Halloween

Pokémon GO's Halloween event, Part 1, is almost here! Niantic has revealed the spooky details. Get ready for exciting features and chilling encounters, with Part 2 coming later!

The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, 10:00 a.m. local time, until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

What's Haunting Pokémon GO?

Morpeko makes its debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon boasts unique battle mechanics, especially useful against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Its Full Belly and Hangry Modes switch mid-battle depending on its Charged Attack, altering its Aura Wheel move type (Electric or Dark) while maintaining its powerful 100 power and Attack boost.

During the event, you'll have increased chances to encounter Morpeko in the GO Battle League's premium track. After the event, it will still be available from Rank 16, though more frequent in premium battles.

A Spooky Atmosphere

Pokémon GO is decked out in Halloween decorations! Fans of the eerie Lavender Town theme will enjoy a remix of the classic music playing nightly throughout the event.

Dynamax Gastly joins one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

A free Timed Research event focusing on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits runs from October 22nd to November 3rd, rewarding players with encounters featuring Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
