The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Hogwarts Legacy is set to elevate the gaming experience with enhanced visuals, quicker loading times, and the introduction of innovative mouse controls. A recently released comparison teaser trailer highlights the seamless transitions between areas like Hogsmeade, which previously required loading screens in the original game.

But the improvements don't stop there. The Nintendo Switch 2 version also promises a boosted frame rate, upgraded textures, enhanced shadows, and richer color saturation throughout Hogwarts and its surroundings. You can witness these enhancements firsthand in the trailer below:

Regarding the new mouse controls, while developer Warner Bros. remains tight-lipped for now, speculation abounds about their potential use in spell-casting. This feature could add a new layer of interaction and immersion to the gameplay.

For fans who already own Hogwarts Legacy on the original Nintendo Switch, an upgrade to this enhanced version will be available for just $10, much like upgrades offered for other Switch 1 games.

Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive, action-packed, open-world role-playing game set in the 1800s wizarding world. Players start as a fifth-year student, embarking on an adventure through both new and familiar locations. The journey includes exploring and discovering magical beasts, crafting potions, mastering spell-casting, upgrading talents, and customizing your character to become the witch or wizard you've always dreamed of being. The game is slated to launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 on the same day the console is released, June 5.

Our experience with Hogwarts Legacy was phenomenal, earning it a 9/10 in the IGN Hogwart's Legacy review. We described it as "in almost every way, Hogwarts Legacy is the Harry Potter RPG [we've] always wanted to play."
