Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Announces Open Arena Mode Testing

Unfrozen has unveiled an exciting new gameplay trailer for Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, spotlighting essential elements like mechanics, units, and the overall strategic gameplay experience. This trailer not only excites fans but also marks the opening of registration for the closed beta test of the "Arena" mode. Enthusiasts eager to dive into this new feature can request access through the game's Steam page, with the testing period set from March 17 to March 28.

Scheduled for early access on Steam in Q2 2025, Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era promises a rich launch experience with six factions, three single-player modes, and three multiplayer options. Ubisoft, steering the publishing helm, ensures this eagerly awaited title reaches its broad audience effectively.

In a recent reveal, the Dungeon faction was introduced, bringing to life a roster of intriguing units such as troglodytes, dark elves, minotaurs, medusas, hydras, and dragons. These additions promise to enhance the game's strategic depth, offering players diverse and dynamic battlefield scenarios.

The development team at Unfrozen openly shared their challenges in crafting the Arena mode, particularly around balancing skills and heroes within the confined space and without initial advantages. However, their perseverance paid off, as they've successfully overcome these hurdles, promising a seamless and engaging experience for players.

While Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is slated for a PC release later this year, an exact launch date remains under wraps. The developers are committed to creating a game that caters to both long-time fans of the series and newcomers, ensuring a welcoming and challenging environment for all players.
