Mastering the Haunted Mirror in Phasmophobia: A Guide to Ghostly Conquest

Haunted Mirror in PhasmophobiaThe Haunted Mirror in Phasmophobia stands out as one of the safest Cursed Objects, offering significant rewards that outweigh the inherent risks. Its functionality remains consistent across game updates, making its use highly recommended upon discovery.

This powerful artifact reveals the ghost's current favored location on the map, providing a panoramic view of the room. For players familiar with map layouts, this significantly accelerates ghost identification and allows strategic equipment placement before the investigation intensifies.

Typically found hanging on a wall (as seen in 6 Tanglewood Drive) or on the floor at its pre-determined location, the Haunted Mirror, like other Cursed Objects, always spawns in the same spot on a given map; the type of Cursed Object is randomized.

To utilize the Haunted Mirror, simply pick it up and use the designated interaction button (mouse or controller) to hold it aloft. Its reflection displays the ghost's preferred room. However, on Professional difficulty and above, remember that the ghost's location may shift after a period of time.

Caution is advised! Prolonged observation depletes sanity. Holding it for the entire duration results in the mirror shattering and triggering a Cursed Hunt at your precise location. Therefore, utilize it with ample sanity and a clear understanding of the reflected image.

Cursed Possessions (commonly referred to as "Cursed Objects") are unique, randomly spawning items in Phasmophobia, with spawn rates potentially influenced by difficulty and Challenge Mode.

Unlike standard equipment, which aids in ghost detection and evidence gathering with minimal risk, Cursed Objects offer strategic advantages or shortcuts at a considerably higher risk to your character's well-being.

The risk associated with each Cursed Object varies, leaving the decision of whether to use them entirely up to you and your team. There's no penalty for choosing not to engage with them. Only one Cursed Possession appears per contract (unless adjusted in Custom settings).

Seven Cursed Objects exist in the game:

  • Summoning Circle
  • Haunted Mirror
  • Voodoo Doll
  • Music Box
  • Tarot Cards
  • Ouija Board
  • Monkey Paw
