Pick Up the Canker Side Quest

To embark on the "Canker" quest, head to Semine and speak with Gules. An ideal time to initiate this quest is during the wedding of Lord Semine and Agnes, where you can find Gules enjoying a drink. However, you can also start the quest earlier by visiting Semine when Gules is on patrol. Engage him in conversation about his former band of bandits and express your willingness to help eliminate them. Canker, one of these former bandits, becomes your first target.

Find and Kill Canker

Upon accepting the quest, Canker's location will be marked on your map, north of Nebakov Mill. Be prepared for potential ambushes by bandits along the path. You can choose to engage them in combat, employ stealth to avoid them, or simply flee. While these random encounters are generally not challenging, conserving your health is crucial before facing Canker and his group.

Canker's camp is nestled in the mountains, accessible through a narrow gap similar to the path to the Hermit's house during the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Make sure you're ready for battle before entering, as you'll be confronted by several bandits alongside Canker. Although some bandits may flee depending on your combat strategy, it's important to take down most of them. Fortunately, Canker himself will not escape, ensuring you can fulfill the quest requirement by eliminating him.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After defeating Canker and his companions, loot Canker's body to find the Light Mace, which serves as proof of your success. Feel free to take any other items of interest from him as well. Once you have the mace, return to Gules in Semine to complete the quest.
