The listing's requirements, specifically mentioning experience with "1M+ user globally distributed systems," strongly implies a planned infrastructure capable of supporting over one million concurrent players.

This could reflect Guerrilla's confidence in the game's appeal, building on the success of Horizon Forbidden West and its Burning Shores DLC. While the studio has remained relatively quiet since then (apart from collaborations on projects like Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered and LEGO Horizon Adventures), hints of a Horizon multiplayer title have surfaced in job listings dating back to 2018.

However, the focus on scalability might also be a proactive step to avoid launch-day server issues similar to those experienced by Helldivers 2.
