Leslie Benzies, the mastermind behind iconic titles like Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, is gearing up to launch his next venture, MindsEye. This highly anticipated game was recently showcased during the PlayStation State of Play, giving fans a fresh glimpse into what promises to be an enthralling high-tech spy thriller.

According to an official press release, MindsEye centers around protagonist Jacob Diaz, who is equipped with a neural implant known as the MindsEye. This implant, however, comes with a side effect: it causes Diaz to experience fragmented flashbacks of his military past. Driven by these mysterious visions, Diaz embarks on a mission to uncover the truth about his history, all while navigating a dangerous landscape controlled by an AI-powered military force.

MindsEye has been in the works for several years since Benzies left Rockstar Games to start his new studio, Build a Rocket Boy. In collaboration with Hitman developer IO Interactive, MindsEye is poised to be a AAA action-adventure game. Alongside the game, Benzies is also developing the Everywhere platform, which has been likened to a "big budget Roblox" following a visit to their studio in 2024.
