Gothic 1 Remake Demo Coming to Steam Next Fest – Featuring New Protagonist Niras

Alkimia Interactive, the creators of the highly-anticipated Gothic 1 Remake, have provided journalists with early access to a new demo. Originally slated for Gamescom, this demo will soon be publicly available.

This demo acts as a preview, introducing a new protagonist: Niras, a prisoner arriving in the Miners' Valley. Unlike the original Nameless Hero, Niras' experiences will shape a unique narrative arc within the game's world.

A Gamescom 2024 demo showcased Niras' arrival and initial interactions within the Colony. This expanded demo will soon be released, offering a glimpse into the thoroughly revamped Gothic world. Both the demo and the full game are nearly entirely rebuilt, promising extended gameplay, enhanced orc interactions, and improved immersion. Expect a significantly richer experience than the original.

The Gothic 1 Remake demo will debut on Steam during the Steam Next Fest, available for free from the evening of February 24th to the evening of March 3rd. Following this period, access will be revoked. The complete Gothic 1 Remake is scheduled for release later this year on PC (Steam, GOG), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
