The Gothic 1 Remake demo has been released on Steam

THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled a new trailer for the "Nyras Prologue" demo of the Gothic 1 Remake.

Unlike the original, where players control the Nameless Hero, the remake introduces Nyras, a prisoner striving for survival in the game's unforgiving world. The core objective remains the same.

Released during the Steam Next Fest, the demo has already broken concurrent player records for the entire Gothic series:

The demo showcases the remake's enhanced visuals, animations, and Unreal Engine 5-powered combat system. While the prologue doesn't fully represent the complete game's RPG depth and freedom, it offers a compelling glimpse.

The Gothic Remake is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, GOG), though a specific release date is yet to be announced.
